Minnesota State Mankato Student Health Services has been accredited since 2002.

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato Student Health Services, accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) since 2002, recently achieved accreditation again.
Accreditation means this college health center has distinguished itself from many other outpatient facilities by providing the highest quality of care to its patients as determined by an independent, external process of evaluation.
Status as an accredited organization means Student Health Services has met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by AAAHC. More than 5,000 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States are accredited by AAAHC. Not all ambulatory health care organizations seek accreditation; not all that undergo the rigorous on-site survey process are granted accreditation.
“We believe our patients deserve the best,” said Wendy Schuh, director of Student Health Services at Minnesota State Mankato. “When you see our certificate of accreditation, you will know that AAAHC, an independent, not-for-profit organization, has closely examined our facility and procedures. It means we as an organization care enough about our patients to strive for the highest level of care possible.”
For more information, contact Schuh by phone at 507-389-5189 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Student Health Services started on campus in 1938, when it was staffed by a nurse and medical doctor. It currently has 22 employees, including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, laboratory, pharmacy, medical records and health education.
The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care is the leader in ambulatory health care accreditation with more than 5,000 organizations accredited nationwide.
Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 15,409 students, is part of the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities system, which comprises 31 state institutions.
