ASB Hosts Dress Drive for Cheyenne River Youth Project

Donate new or gently used formal wear to Alternative Spring Break to give to the women at the Cheyenne River Youth Project.

The Alternative Spring Break group is heading to Eagle Butte, SD to volunteer with the Cheyenne River Youth Project and their program Passion for Fashion over spring break. This program involves putting together a fashion show and dance for the young women on the reservation. Through this event, the young women on the reservation are able to feel empowered and confident.

One of the goals of the ASB group is to collect as many formal dresses (prom dresses, homecoming dresses, etc.) as possible for the young women on the reservation to wear for the fashion show and dance. If individuals are interested in donating their formal dresses, they can drop them off at the Community Engagement Office in the Student Activities area (CSU 173) from now until March 2nd. The ASB group will also be in the CSU Lobby on Wednesday, February 21 and February 28 from 11am-3pm, so feel free to drop off your dress at that time as well. All dress sizes are accepted!
