Oct. 10: Rock the Vote

Event set up to encourage voting in the November elections.

A Wednesday, Oct. 10, “Rock the Vote” event will encourage Minnesota State University, Mankato students and the Mankato community to get out and vote in the upcoming Nov. 6 presidential election.

The campus "Rock the Vote" event will begin at 5 p.m. in the Centennial Student Union Ballroom.

Activities will include musical performances by two bands: Machine 22 and Cliffton Wales. Machine 22 and Cliffton Wales are both rock genre. Machine 22 are punk n’ roll artists of the new era born to bring back rock n’ roll. Cliffton Wales are soulful vocals, a dirty guitar, and have a bumpin’ rhythm section.

The event is sponsored by IMPACT, the Minnesota State Student Association and the statewide Minnesota State University Student Association.

IMPACT is the student programming board of the Centennial Student Union. The board, advised by staff in the Student Activities Office, plans events funded through student activity fees.

MSSA is the student government for all the students at the Minnesota State Mankato. They are involved student leaders that make the decisions that has a direct impact on the students and are relentless advocates for student rights both on campus and in the community.

MSUSA is the Minnesota State University Student Association that advocates for students about education issues that effects their lives.
