Mankato, Minn. – Dove “Real Women” campaign model Stacy Nadeau will speak on “Embracing Real Beauty” in the Minnesota State University, Mankato Centennial Student Union Ballroom at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 in a talk that is free and open to the general public.

Dove’s “Real Women” campaign began in 2005 with a billboard in New York’s Times Square that consisted of six full-figured models who wore only a bra and underwear. The mission of the Dove campaign was to broaden the stereotypical idea of beauty.

Nadeau has become a spokeswoman for healthy body image, and she has appeared on the Today Show, CNN, Ellen, Dr. Phil, Tyra and Opra. For more information on Stacy Nadeau, visit
