Dec. 15: Summer/Fall Commencement

More than 1,600 degrees to be presented at 9 a.m. and noon ceremonies.

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato will present 1,614 degrees during summer/fall commencement exercises Saturday, Dec. 15, in Taylor Center on the Minnesota State Mankato campus. Commencement ceremonies will be held at 9 a.m. and noon.

Receiving degrees at the 9 a.m. ceremony will be students from the College of Arts & Humanities, College of Business and College of Science, Engineering & Technology. Receiving degrees at the noon ceremony will be students from the College of Allied Health & Nursing, College of Education and College of Social & Behavioral Sciences.

Graduate-level degrees to be presented include 87 master of arts degrees, seven master of arts in teaching degrees, one master of music degree, five master of fine arts degrees, 11 master of business administration degrees, seven master of public administration degrees, 23 master of science in nursing degrees, 166 master of science degrees, 30 master of social work degrees and 34 specialist degrees.

Awarded at the undergraduate level will be 91 bachelor of arts degrees, 24 bachelor of fine arts degrees, 1,062 bachelor of science degrees, one bachelor of science in civil engineering degree, one bachelor of science in computer engineering degree, one bachelor of science in mechanical engineering degree, seven bachelor of science in electrical engineering degrees, four bachelor of science in engineering degrees, 29 bachelor of science in social work degrees and 23 associate of arts degrees.

Undergraduate students receiving recognition will include 64 students graduating summa cum laude, 174 students graduating magna cum laude and 185 students graduating cum laude.

(Note to Editors: The number of graduates does not equal number of degrees because some students earn more than one degree.)
