MANKATO, Minn. – The Chiarina Piano Quartet will perform on Tuesday, February 19 at 7:30 pm in the Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave.

The Chiarina Piano Quartet formed in 2010 and consists of violinist Mary Horozaniecki, violist Nancy Nehring, cellist Mark Rudoff, and Minnesota State Mankato piano professor David Viscoli. Mary Horozaniecki teaches at Augsburg College, Carleton College, and Macalester College. Mark Rudoff teaches at The Ohio State University. Nancy Nehring teaches privately in the Columbus, Ohio area in addition to being the principal violist with the Central Ohio Symphony.

The program this year contains a lesser-known work by Franz Schubert, a quartet by American composer Lee Hoiby, and a piano quartet piece by French composer Gabriel Faure. The quartet will perform at two venues in Ohio, including Ohio State University. The tour continues with performances in Minnesota at Saint Benedict’s College (Saint Joseph), Augsburg College (Minneapolis), the Owatonna Arts Center, and the Rochester Chamber Music Society.

Concert admission is $12; $11 for students with a valid MavCard. Discount tickets are available online for University students. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged. Those who wish to purchase tickets online should go to
