Four Students Receive Carkoski Scholarships

Demonstrated volunteer leadership and service in residence communities part of scholarship criteria.

Mankato, Minn. – Four Minnesota State University, Mankato students were each recently awarded $500 Chester and Helen Carkoski Scholarships in recognition of their good academic records and demonstrated volunteer leadership and service in Minnesota State Mankato’s residence communities.

Receiving the scholarship awards were Joey Cheam, Anthony Jones, Kevin Miller and Makenzie Petzel. Each received a framed certificate and had their name added to a plaque for this scholarship.

This scholarship is available to students living in any Minnesota State residence community (excluding current community advisors, apartment community advisors, Maverick mentors and learning commmunity coordinators).

Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 15,413 students, is part of the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities system, which comprises 31 state institutions.
