Mankato, Minn. – Actor Michael Milligan will perform his one-man play, “Mercy Killers,” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18 in Ostrander Auditorium at Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Centennial Student Union.

The play is free and open to the public. Seating is general admission. The performance will be followed by questions, answers and a discussion.

In this play, Milligan plays Joe, who loves apple pie, Rush Limbaugh, and the fourth of July. But when his wife gets sick and loses her insurance, Joe’s patriotic feelings and passion for the ethos of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are turned upside down. In “Mercy Killers,” a new one-man play, Joe struggles with the uniquely American experience of losing your health in the land of plenty.

Michael Milligan is a graduate of the Juilliard School. He has appeared on and off Broadway and with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Cincinnati Playhouse, the St. Louis Rep and many national and international theatre groups in a wide variety of roles.
