Alum's book climbing best-seller list

Alumnus Alan A. Larson's suspense thriller "Mexizona" reaches Kindle Top 10.

Mankato Free Press, 06/20/2013

Former Mankato resident and Minnesota State University, Mankato graduate Alan A. Larson's self-published debut novel has climbed to No. 9 on the Kindle's list of "Top Rated Suspense Thrillers."

In Mexizona: An American Dream, Larson explores illegal immigration and political intolerance amidst the crisis on the Arizona-Mexico border.  According to a press release about the book, "when 18-year-old Diego Cruz begins a perilous journey to seek a better life, a spark ignites an unquenchable flame between two star-crossed lovers held apart by the values and prejudices of their family and friends."

Larson grew up on a dairy farm south of Crystal Lake, Iowa, and spent eight years at Hubbard Milling Company in Mankato as an auditor and corporate controller after graduating from Minnesota State Mankato.

The book is available for Kindle, Nook, iBooks, and any laptop, tablet, or smartphone via Amazon's Free Kindle Reader.
