Oct. 1: ‘Marx in Soho’

Mankato, Minn. – Actor Bob Weick will portray philosopher Karl Marx in the play “Marx in Soho” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 in Centennial Student Union’s Ostrander Auditorium on the Minnesota State University, Mankato campus. Admission is free and open to the public.

In the 70-minute production, Marx (played by Weick) defends his ideas, recalls his family life, recounts his debates with prominent anarchist and socialist thinkers and also comments on the state of the world today. More information on the play can be found at the following website:

The play was last performed at Minnesota State Mankato in 2007 and drew an overflow crowd, according to Steve Buechler, professor and graduate coordinator in the Department of Corrections, which is part of Minnesota State Mankato’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
