Oct. 13: Kronos Quartet Cellist Jeffrey Zeigler

MANKATO, Minn. – Former Kronos Quartet cellist, Jeffrey Zeigler, will perform on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 7:30 pm in the Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave. Zeigler will be assisted by Carleton College faculty pianist, Nicola Melville, in a program of profound and appealing contemporary music.

As a member of the internationally renowned Kronos Quartet, Ziegler was awarded Sweden’s prestigious Polar Music Award in recognition of a broad approach to programming, often incorporating avant-garde rock and music from a variety of sources worldwide. The duo’s recital promises selections that echo this timely and thrilling aesthetic.

Jeffrey Zeigler’s appearance is made possible by the Nadine B. Andreas Visiting Artist Endowment.
