Dec. 2, 3, 5: Concerts on Campus

Concert bands, jazz groups, orchestra to perform.

MANKATO, Minn. – The Department of Music will present multiple concerts featuring seasonal and traditional music in Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave. the last week of the Fall semester.

The Department’s Concert Bands, under the direction of Dr. Amy Roisum Foley, will perform on Monday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m.

Under the direction of music faculty member Dr. Douglas Snapp, the Jazz Choir and Jazz Combos will perform a variety of jazz interpretations of traditional holiday music as well as contemporary works. The concert will take place Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

The University Orchestra, directed by Dr. Joseph Rodgers, will perform on Thursday,
Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m.The Orchestra program will include an audience sing-along featuring traditional holiday favorites.

Concert admission is $9, $7 for students with a valid MavCard. Discount tickets are available online for University students. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged. Those who wish to purchase tickets online should go to
