Mankato, Minn. – Self-described world traveler Andy Stoll will speak on “How and Why to Travel Around the World” in a free public lecture at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10 in Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Centennial Student Union Ballroom.
Parking is available in all Gold lots after 6:30 p.m. on the night of Stoll’s lecture, and parking is also available for a small fee in the campus pay lot. For additional parking information please visit the parking website.
According to his website, www.andystoll.net, Stoll, three years after graduating from the University from Iowa, quit his job, sold everything he owned and decided he was going to take a year-long trip around the world.
Four years and 40 countries later, Stoll returned and has become known as a social entrepreneur, media producer and sought-after college speaker. His inspirational presentations include several technology, entertainment and design (TED) talks and speeches that encourage young audiences to broaden their viewpoints through international travel.
Stoll is also a co-founder of Seed Here Studio, which helps to grow creative, entrepreneurial communities. One of the youngest people named to The Corridor Business Journal’s 40 under 40 list, Stoll has been nationally recognized for his public service and social entrepreneurial work by The Harry S Truman Foundation, Rotary International and The American Institute of Public Service.
Stoll’s presentation is sponsored by IMPACT, the student programming board of Minnesota State Mankato’s Centennial Student Union.
