Feb. 10: Study Abroad Re-Entry Workshop

Workshop includes session blocks at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

If your students have participated in a study abroad program and want to ensure they know how to make the most of their experience in job interviews, resumes, cover letters and LinkedIn, they do not want to miss this workshop series! The workshop is set up in three 50-minute blocks, so students can attend whichever section(s) your schedule allows.

Pizza and beverages will be provided!

Monday, Feb. 10
Heritage Room, CSU 101 (main level, to the left of the food court)

  • 4 p.m. to 4:50 p.m.: REFLECTIONS FROM ABROAD
    Have you recently returned from studying abroad and are experiencing reverse-culture shock? Friends and family already tired of hearing about your incredible experience abroad? Come join us in a discussion on ‘now what?!’
  • 5 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.: RESUME, COVER LETTER AND LINKEDIN
    Less than 2% of all U.S. students study abroad during their college years, so graduating with a study abroad experience gives you a unique advantage when applying for internships or jobs after graduation. During this session we will give you advice on how to capitalize on your study abroad experience on a resume, in a cover letter, and on LinkedIn.
  • 6 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.: JOB INTERVIEWS
    Don’t squander your study abroad experience in job interviews with “It was great” comments. Come learn how to sell your study abroad experience in a job interview.
