March 4: 'Klips for Kids' fundraiser on campus

Mankato, Minn. -- Stylists from the Campus Coiffures and Tanning Salon in Mankato and the Cosmetology Training Center in Mankato will be on campus at Minnesota State University, Mankato to offer free cosmetology services from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4 in the Centennial Student Union's Hearth Lounge as part of a "Klips for Kids" Dance Marathon fundraiser.

Services that will be provided during the fundraiser include haircuts, hairstyling, eyebrow waxing and manicures.

A minimum free-will donation of $10 is requested for each service, although any donation amount is encouraged. All money raised will go to the Gillette Children's Hospital.

"Klips for Kids" not only helps raise money but also promotes a dance marathon fundraiser held each year to benefit Gillette Children's Hospital.

The events are organized by the Greek Community at Minnesota State Mankato.

The first "Klips for Kids" event at Minnesota State Mankato, held in September 2013, raised $650 for Gillette Children's Hospital.
