Mankato, Minn. – The sixth annual “Dam Bike Ride!” sponsored by Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Student Activities Crew is set for 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18.

The 24-mile round trip bike ride, free and open to the public, begins at Centennial Student Union on the Minnesota State Mankato campus and takes riders to Rapidan Dam and back.

Riders should meet in front of Centennial Student Union near the flagpoles prior to the 3 p.m. departure time. No registration is needed.

Participants will have the option of breaking up the ride with a slice of homemade pie at the Rapidan Dam store café. And while the ride is free, the pie does cost whatever the going rate for a slice of pie is at the café.

If it’s raining or determined to be too hot or humid on June 18, the bike ride will be re-scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, with the same departure time and meeting place.
