KANSAS CITY, Kan. --- The Minnesota State University, Mankato soccer team moved up to the top spot in the NSCAA/Continental Tire rankings poll that came out Tuesday afternoon.
This marks the second time the Minnesota State Mankato soccer program has been ranked No. 1, as the Mavericks rose to the top during the 2012 season for one week.

The Mavericks are off to their best start in program history, with a 12-0-0 overall record and 9-0-0 mark in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. They are the only team in NCAA Division II with a won-loss-tied percentage of 1.000.
The Mavericks rank in the top 10 nationally in several statistical categories, including averages of nine points per game (9th); three goals per game (9th); 36 goals scored (7th); 2.67 assists per game (6th); 32 assists (6th); 104 total assists (6th); a .250 goals against average (4th); and .750 shutout percentage (2nd).
