Mankato, Minn. -- The NCAA announced Sunday that Minnesota State University, Mankato (29-7-3) has been selected as the #1 seed at the 2015 NCAA Division I men's hockey Midwest Regional and will face fourth-seeded RIT (19-14-5) at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Compton Family Arena in South Bend, Ind.

Saturday's Minnesota State Mankato game will be televised on ESPNU, which is available on various suscription packages provided by Mankato-area cable providers (Charter Ch. 816 in Mankato; Enventis Ch. 24 and 524 HD in Mankato) as well as satellite providers. Viewers should contact their provider to find out the cost of subscribing to ESPNU on a short-term basis.

TICKET INFORMATION: Ticket packages for the NCAA DI men's hockey Midwest Regional are available through Minnesota State Mankato Athletics until 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 24. $60 package includes both semi-final games (Saturday) and regional championship game (Sunday). Call 507-389-6111 or stop by the main athletics department office (Myers Field House Rm 135) by 5 p.m. Tuesday.

AFTER 5 P.M. TUESDAY, MARCH 24, regional tickets may be purchased online here through the University of Notre Dame, which is the host institution for the regional.

The other two teams in the regional include Omaha (18-12-6) and Harvard (21-12-3). The Omaha-Harvard game is slated for 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Saturday's winners will meet in the regional final at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, with the regional champions advancing to the NCAA DI Men's Hockey Frozen Four in Boston, Mass., April 9 and 11.

Sunday's regional championship game will also be televised on ESPNU.

The Mavericks, the 2015 Broadmoor Trophy recipients as WCHA Final Five champions (Minnesota State also captured the MacNaughton Cup as league regular season champions), will be making their fourth appearance in the NCAA DI tournament and third in a row. The Mavericks also played in the 2003 East Regional in Providence (5-2 loss to Cornell), the 2013 Midwest Regional in Toledo, Ohio (4-0 loss to Miami) and 2014 Northeast Regional (2-1 loss to UMass-Lowell).
