June 12: 7th Annual 'Parent-Child Play Day'

Mankato, Minn. -- Minnesota State University, Mankato's Department of Family Consumer Science is hosting its 7th annual "Parent-Child Play Day" on Friday June 12 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Rasmussen Woods (555 Stoltzman Road).

The annual event will be held rain or shine and is free to the public.

The "Parent-Child Play Day" is part of a class that Minnesota State Mankato Associate Professor Heather Von Bank teaches about the benefits of play for children's development.

University undergraduate students create activities to engage caregivers and children in play with low-cost and no-cost household items.

Families with preschool and school-age children from the entire greater Mankato community are invited to attend.
