Aug. 24-Sept. 9: 'Areas of Overlap' Art Exhibit

Opening reception set for Monday, Aug. 31. Exhibit features work of five new faculty members.

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Art has a new faculty art exhibit, “Areas of Overlap,” on display from Monday, Aug. 24 through Wednesday, Sept. 9 in Minnesota State Mankato’s Conkling Gallery.

Art by Bradley Coulter, David Hamlow, Ellen Schofield, Amy Toscani and Joshua Winkler is featured in the exhibit, on display at 139 Nelson Hall, the Conkling Gallery, during gallery hours (9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday).

There will be an opening reception for the new faculty at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31 at the Conkling Gallery. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

While each artist’s work is visually very different, the artists often “overlap” in their exploration of similar visual themes and materials.
