Veterans Club Helps Paint Mural on Eagle Lake American Legion Building in Honor of Veterans Day
Club members, artists and others worked from noon until dusk on Sunday, Nov. 8.

Mankato, Minn. – The Minnesota State University, Mankato Veterans Club, a registered student organization on campus, helped a group of professional artists pain a 40-foot intergenerational, public mural on the side of the Eagle Lake, Minn., American Legion Post 617 building on Sunday.

Club members, artists and others worked from noon until dusk on Sunday.

A flyer seeking volunteers described the effort as a way for contributors to leave their “personal mark on the Legion and the surrounding community for decades to come.”
