Recipient of Fall 2015 Mark M. Welter World Citizen Award Announced

Paul Iheme N'Gumah selected as fall 2015 recipient.

The following announcement was made by the Kearney International Center:

Congratulations to Mr. Paul Iheme N’Gumah, the Minnesota State Mankato recipient of the Fall 2015 Mark M. Welter World Citizen Award offered by Dr. Mark Welter through the Minnesota State College Student Association. Paul came to Mankato from Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), and will be receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in May of 2017.

During his time at Minnesota State Mankato, Paul has been a very active member of campus as part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Honors Program, Board member for the International Student Association, and Treasurer of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Undergraduate Affiliate Network (ASMBM). Paul has also worked as a Peer Assistant for the International Student Orientation and as a Laboratory Assistant. His volunteer contributions to the community are also numerous and as varied as serving as a judge for the Southern Regional Science and Engineering Fair to participating in the annual Rake the Town event.

We thank you, Paul, for being such an active member of our community and embodying the spirit of a World Citizen.
