Feb. 18-20, 25-27: Neil Simon's 'Rumors'

Production will take place in the Ted Paul Theatre.

Minnesota State University, Mankato Department of Theatre and Dance News Release, 2-10-2016

Mankato, Minn. – The spring season of productions at Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Theatre and Dance continues with Neil Simon’s hilarious farce “Rumors.”

About the play: At a tasteful townhouse, the deputy mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are gathering for their 10th wedding anniversary, and while the host lies bleeding in the other room, his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer and his wife must get “the story” straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.

“Rumors” will run 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18-20 and Feb. 25-27; and 2 p.m. Feb. 27 and 28 in the Ted Paul Theatre, Earley Center for Performing Arts, Minnesota State Mankato.

Tickets are $16 regular; $14 for seniors ages 65 and older, children under 16 and groups of 15 or more; and $11 for Minnesota State Mankato students.

Contact Amanda Dyslin at 507-389-6663, or for more information.
