April 19: 'Spring into Action'

Event will highlight leisure opportunities for people with disabilities.

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Leisure Services is sponsoring its first-ever “Spring into Action” resource event on Tuesday, April 19 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. in the University’s Centennial Student Union Ballroom that will highlight fun leisure opportunities and activities in Mankato for individuals with disabilities.

The event, free and open to the public, is geared toward adults with disabilities, but all are welcome.

A variety of local organizations and agencies will have resource tables set up with information on leisure activities for individuals with disabilities. The event will feature snacks, raffle prizes, opportunities to socialize and a variety of games (such as “Nine Square-in-the-Air,” “Softball Toss,” and “life-size Pac-Man”) offered in addition to the resource information.
