June 25: Midwest Play Conference
Inaugural conference will focus on creating child-centered, hands-on, play-based environments for young children.

Mankato, Minn. – Lisa Murphy, the founder and CEO of Ooey Gooey Inc., a company in Rochester, N.Y., specializing in creating child-centered, hands-on, play-based environments for young children, will give the keynote speech at the inaugural Midwest Play Conference on Saturday, June 25 at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
The conference, intended for professionals in early childhood education, in-home and center-based childcare settings, health and wellness services and outdoor and recreation services, will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Minnesota State Mankato’s Centennial Student Union. A reception will follow from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota in Mankato.
Five contact hours will be issued for professionals who register and attend the conference. Registration information and a link to an abstract book is available online.
