Nov. 1: 'Before the Flood' Documentary Film Screening
Climate-change feature documentary film will be shown in Ostrander Auditorium.

Mankato, Minn. – The new National Geographic climate-change feature documentary “Before the Flood,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, will be screened Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 7:45 p.m. in Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Ostrander Auditorium, located on campus in Centennial Student Union. A film trailer is available on YouTube.
The Minnesota State Mankato Zoology Club has organized the film screening and is sponsoring the event, which is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m.
After the movie, there will be a panel discussion to discuss the film and climate change as a whole.

Scheduled to be on the panel are James Dontje, director of the Johnson Center for Environmental Innovation at Gustavus Adolphus College; Liz Ratcliff, representing MN350, a climate change organization; Christopher Ruhland, professor of biological sciences at Minnesota State Mankato; Louis Schwartzkopf, emeritus professor of physics at Minnesota State Mankato; current Minnesota state Rep. John (Jack) Considine Jr.; and former Minnesota state Rep. Kathy Brynaert.
