March 24: College of Business Annual Research Day
College of Business faculty research award recipients will be recognized and give presentations.

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s College of Business will hold its annual research day event on Friday, March 24 at 9:30 a.m. in the Centennial Student Union Nickerson Room.
Recipients of College of Business faculty research awards from 2016-17 and 2017-18 will give presentations. To learn more and RSVP, visit http://cob.mnsu.edu/events/.
The 2016-17 Research Award recipients include faculty members Leon Chen, Ph.D. (Finance), Oksana Kim, Ph.D. (Accounting), Christine Brown Mahoney, Ph.D. (Management) and Byron Pike, Ph.D. (Accounting). Each will give an approximately 20-minute presentation of their research findings.
The 2017-18 Research Award recipients include faculty members Oksana Kim, Ph.D. (Accounting) and Puneet Jaiprakash, Ph.D. (Finance). Each will give an approximately 10-minute overview of their research project in the coming year.
The purpose of the research awards is to promote and celebrate outstanding business research. All full-time and fixed-term faculty from the College of Business at Minnesota State Mankato are eligible to apply. A maximum of four research awards of approximately $5,000 are granted every year to support research activities such as data access, collection and analysis. The 2017-18 research awards mark the fourth year that the College of Business has presented research excellence awards to its faculty members.
To receive a research excellence award, the applicant must demonstrate superior scholarship as evidenced by recent publications in prestigious journals and a consistent record of influential scholarly works.
