Dec. 4: The OK Factor String Duo

Minneapolis cello and violin duo to perform in CSU Hearth Lounge from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 4.

Minnesota State University, Mankato Media Relations Office Announcement, 11-27-2017

The OK Factor, a Minneapolis cello and violin duo, will present seasonal sounds from the duo's newly released holiday CD during a free, mid-day performance Monday, Dec. 4, in the Centennial Student Union at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Performing in the CSU Hearth Lounge from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the CSU’s ongoing Serendipity Music Series, Olivia Diercks and Karla Colahan – monikered as The OK Factor, are featured as part of the student union’s “Finals Week StressBusters” activities.

The duo will perform selections from its second seasonal CD, “Have Yourself an OK Christmas,” set for release Dec. 1, as well as its 2015 “Happy Holidays” CD. Other selections will feature The OK Factor’s unique classical crossover sound with a North Country influence.

The CSU’s Serendipity Music Series spotlights Minnesota musical artists and offers a “street-corner serenade” format that allows passersby within the student union the opportunity to pause, relax and experience a wide range of music genres. The performances are free and open to the campus and the greater Mankato community.
