Faculty Member Stephanie Thorpe Participating at 2018 Source Song Festival

Festival activities are taking place Aug. 5-11 in Minneapolis. Admission is free.

MANKATO, Minn. – Stephanie Thorpe (pictured), a faculty member in Minnesota State University, Mankato's Department of Music, has been selected to participate in the MNDuo program in the 2018 Source Song Festival in Minneapolis.

Festival activities take place Aug. 5 – 11 at Westminster Hall at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (1200 Marquette Ave., Minneapolis).

Thorpe will be accompanied by pianist Alexander Woods.

Thorpe currently serves as assistant professor of music as a vocal instructor and coordinator of the opera workshop area.

MNDuo is a workshop for pianist/singer duos. With an emphasis on collaboration and partnership, duos have the opportunity to participate in master classes, coachings and seminars given by local and international artists, and will be introduced to a locally established composer who will work with the duos on their music. Duos will have two performing opportunities during the workshop.
