With your help, we will transform ourselves – and the world
"We truly are poised to become an even greater University, one that is not only an engine but a leader in generating solutions for the problems facing our state, nation and world."
– President Richard Davenport
Where big ideas meet real–world thinking
The big ideas this University is known for are evident almost everywhere on campus, including the new Margaret R. Preska Residence Community. We are delighted to be able to offer such modern, energy-efficient and comfortable housing to our students and are grateful to everyone, both on- and off-campus, who helped make that possible.
Our commitment to nurturing big ideas has come to define Minnesota State Mankato. At Convocation in August, I laid out five of the big ideas I have for the University this year, including completing our $75 million comprehensive campaign, building on our success in enrollment management, improving student academic success on statewide and national measures, strengthening the College of Extended Learning and creating a master plan for the “campus of the future.” You can read more about those goals in the text of my speeches.
Implementing these ideas requires real–world thinking from everyone. Together, we can transform ourselves—and the world.
