Enrollment and Degree VerificationPage address: https://www.mnsu.edu/registrar/verification.html
Numerous agencies and institutions may wish to verify that you are or have been a student at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Further, they may wish to know whether you are or were full-time, or if you have graduated.
These agencies may call the Office of the Registrar. However, they will be referred to the National Student Clearinghouse, which is our authorized agent for providing enrollment and degree verifications.
Contact information for the Clearinghouse:
National Student Clearinghouse
2300 Dulles Station Blvd, Suite 300
Herndon, VA 20171
We also will be referring you to the National Student Clearinghouse when you need enrollment verifications because they provide a free Student Self-Service website, which enables students to perform enrollment verfications and more. The benefit from using this service is that it is secure and simple to use. They provide 24/7 access to enrollment verifications and you can print enrollment certificates on demand.
If you need a Good Student Discount form completed for your automobile insurance to verify your grade point average, please go to the Campus HUB and request an unofficial transcript. You should then include the transcript with the form and mail or deliver to your insurance agent.
There is an online enrollment verification form that you can print and bring to the Office of the Registrar. This form should only be used if the National Student Clearinghouse's enrollment certificate is not accepted by the agency needing your verification. Written proof (from the requesting agency) of non-acceptance of the Clearinghouse certificate must be provided to the Office of the Registrar along with the enrollment verification form. The Office of the Registrar's processing time for this verification form is one week. Be sure to provide a stamped/addressed envelope for our office to mail your verification form. These forms will not be faxed.
For Your Information:
We transmit enrollment information to the National Student Clearinghouse four times during fall and spring terms and three times for summer sessions. Enrollments are transmitted on approximately the 10th day of a term, mid-term, one other day between mid-term and the end of the term (fall and spring terms only), and about three weeks after the end of each term. Degrees are transmitted the first of each month. The National Student Clearinghouse needs approximately one week after each transmission to process the data before it is available for verifications.
The number of credits you enroll in determines your status.
