Staying For Winter BreakPage address: https://www.mnsu.edu/reslife/housing/current/winter/winter_break_staying.html
We've designed this page for students who have registered to stay on campus during Winter Break. The purpose of this page is to keep you updated on services that will be provided to you over the break period.
Access to Residence Communities
During Winter Break, all of our exterior entrances will remain locked so it is very important to carry your MavCARD and room key with you at all times. The residence communities will lock at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 9 and unlock at 8 a.m. on Friday, January 6. Once you register for Winter Break Housing, your MavCARD will be activated and allow you access to doors that you typically have access to.
Breakfast and lunch will be the only meals served on Friday, December 9 in the dining hall (the dining hall will close at 1:30 p.m. that day). The first meal of Spring Semester is lunch on Friday, January 6, 2017.
See the Winter Break Mav Ave hours below.
Residential Life Staff will be on duty in the residence communities during Winter Break. A Hall Director will be on duty at all times and CAs will be on duty from 4:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily. Names and phone numbers of duty staff will be posted in each community.
Security will provide an escort for anyone who wishes to have one. To contact University Security, call 507-389-2111.
The Front Desks will be open from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. daily except for December 24, 25, and January 1. You may also pick up packages, check out equipment, etc. while the desk is open.

Mail will only be delivered to students who have registered for Winter Break Housing. Mail will be put in your mailbox Monday-Friday on days when the Front Desk is open (there is no mail service on December 24, 25, 31, January 1, January 2, or the weekends).
Mail delivery at Stadium Heights will follow the U.S. Postal Service schedule.
Only students who have signed up and paid for Winter Break Housing are authorized to be in the residence communities. You may have one guest at a time for up to three nights per visit. A guest is considered a person who is not a resident. (Residents who have not paid for break housing may NOT visit as guests.)
If asked, your guest must present a picture ID to Residential Life Staff of University Security. You must escort your guest at all times in the residence communities. You are responsible for your guest and their actions.
Yellow guest parking permits are not required from December 7 through January 8. Guests may park in Lots 14 or 16. Stadium Heights residents should contact the Property Owner's Office for information about guest parking at Stadium Heights over the break.
