Staying Safe

Maintaining a safe campus requires a commitment by every member of the Minnesota State University community. While we have very strong measures in place to increase our safety on campus, the University Security can not do it alone. Do you part! Lock your doors – car, office and residence hall. Don’t leave valuables in plain sight or unattended in your car, office, classroom or the library. Call University Security at 389-2111 if you need help or identify something that just doesn’t look right! Did you know that there is the Maverick Red Eye Shuttle to bring you across campus safely? If you find yourself needing to walk across campus after dark, call Safe Walk to provide an escort to accompany you there safely. Save crucial phone numbers (e.g. 507-389-2111) in your cell phone so you have them accessible when you need them. Staying safe is everyone’s responsibility. If we all take safety seriously, we will create a campus where we can live and learn together.
