The Greek Alumni Connection

We are excited to introduce The Greek Alumni Connection. The term "connection" reflects the bond that is built within Greek Life and we cannot think of a better words to represent the impressive direction of Greek Life at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

We celebrated the 50th anniversary of the founding of the first national Greek-letter organization on campus in 2011 and have continued to chart new history. Having eclipsed over 400 Greek students among our five fraternities and four sororities, the influence and presence of the Greek students are found throughout campus leadership. As the overall Greek numbers grow and their campus presence is recognized, they are achieving excellence in the classroom, as well. The All-Greek grade point average continues to surpass the non-Greek student grade point average. We could not be more proud of their academic efforts.

As momentum builds, we find ourselves at an exciting crossroads for Greek Life. Demand for the sorority experience has us contemplating expansion for the first time in decades. The same is true for the fraternities. Additionally, we completed a comprehensive review of the Greek system and identified its strengths and opportunities. We hope to use the results to continue to expound upon the strong Greek legacy at Minnesota Sate Mankato. With the help of our current students and dedicated alumni, we can support and grow the student experience.

You can see that a lot is going on and how our Greek system continues to be a beacon for us. This Greek Alumni newsletter serves as an opportunity for us to keep you informed about your chapters and an invitation for you to join us during this exciting time.  Our undergraduates look for your support, leadership, and legacy. We welcome your thoughts and ideas as we build a future that will be a in every sense of the word.
