The Special Events committee presents students with a wide array of fun and exciting events and programming. past event included: Color Run, African Acrobats, and Paint Party, as well as large-scale night events like The CSU Haunted Takeover. This committee thrives off of the creative energy of its members.

Life size sculpture of Stomper! Carving starts at 8pm and will be finished by 12 noon.

See Kato’s finest run, jump, and climb through the obstacle course at 8pm in Taylor Center on the Minnesota State Campus. The Student Events Team will be putting on their first Kato Ninja Warrior. The show will be held April 6, 2017 starting from 8 p.m. until 9 p.m.
This show is free for students, staff, and the public. The Student Events Team encourage students and families to arrive early for prime seating. Just like the TV show, American Ninja Warrior, we will be having obstacles that will test contestants’ physical ability. Some of the obstacles will include the warped wall, wipeout, inflatables obstacle course, and the salmon ladder. The wall is over 12 ft. and contestants must run up the wall to get to the top.
Time trails will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Both will be located in Bresnan Arena. Beginning at 5:30pm, contestants will start their trial through the course. At 7:30pm, we will be taking the top 15 from the time trials who will move on to compete for the title of Kato Ninja Warrior. Pre-registration is encouraged at mnsuevents.com

To compete in the event, registration for students is $25.00 and $50 for public.
"I can't wait for to have an event that has never been attempted before! It has always been a dream of mine!”, said Dustin Slaughter, Student Events Team Special Events Chairman. There will be food and drink at the event. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. The doors will be opened during the time trials for students and public to watch.
