Mama Rose (Jacleen Olson, right) tries to convince Uncle Jocko (Matt Davis, center) that her children have talent. Her kids, Baby June (Kinsale Morrow) and Baby Louise (Magdelena Morrow) do everything they can to prove her wrong.
When they get their chance, they are joined on stage by three boys (left to right: Jack Lindsay, Trevin Wacker and Bailey Narjes).
The things that never change for Rose (Jacleen Olson) are her confidence in her kids' talent, the love of Herbie (Toby Adam Miller) and her love of Chinese food (served by Tierney Bagan).
While on the road, Rose and her act rely on the kindness of strangers such as Mr. Goldstone (Matt Davis) ... even though they may not know of their generosity.
When vaudeville folds, Rose and the kids must turn to burlesque, where they find a new breed of performers, such as (left to right): Electra (Anna Bredl), Tura (Mallory Martin) and Mazeppa (Claire Lloyd).
When June leaves, Louise (Mollie Fisher) becomes the star of the show. Her star takes off when she become Gypsy Rose Lee.
In the end, they all come to accept who (and what) they have become.
