Minnesota State University, Mankato's Memorial Library is the place to research and study on campus. The building is named in honor of faculty and community members who made significant contributions to the growth of the institution and those graduates who gave their lives in the service of their country during several wars. Memorial Library was constructed in 1967, in full operation by 1969, and significantly remodeled in 1992. In 2013, another significant construction project connected the Library with Centennial Student Union through an indoor pedestrian link.
