Why the Women’s Center?

Navigating a future can be challenging enough, let alone finding your place in all the energy and activity of life at Minnesota State Mankato. The Women’s Center is a relaxing, friendly spot for students looking for anything from programs to a place to bring lunch and talk with cool people.

Violence Awareness and Response Program

The Violence Awareness and Response Program (VARP) provides a safe, supportive space for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and family members and friends affiliated with Minnesota State University, Mankato. VARP's mission is to reduce the pervasiveness and effects of sexual violence.

The Women's Center offers speakers and group presentations to help discuss and educate our campus about sexism, gender bias, women's health, sexual violence and intimate partner violence, consent, and other related topics.

Check out the Women's Center student action group WAC! From campus education to event planning and entertainment, WAC offers you involvement opportunity, a chance to develop your leadership skills, and a chance to meet cool people and have fun!


Peer Educators Acting for Change and Equality (PEACE)

PEACE is a theater troupe that address issues of healthy relationships, consent, bystander intervention, and so much more! No acting experience necessary. Men and Women are welcome. Meet new people, make a difference, and have fun!

Men Against Violence (MAVs)

MAVs is a recognized student organization working towards eliminating violence on our campus and in our society. We have an exciting campaign planned for this year. Join MAVs and create change!
