Equity 2030 is the strategic agenda for the system centered around closing the educational attainment gaps for black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC), low-income students, and first-generation students by the year 2030. It is an approach to intentionally rethinking the way Minnesota State and its institutions operate on a day-to-day level.
Equity 2030 Goals
By 2030, Minnesota State will eliminate the educational equity gaps for first-generation students, low-income students, indigenous students and students of color at every Minnesota State college and university.
Climate Study Spring 2023
Minnesota State University, Mankato invited 7,919 students and 1,711 employees to take the HEDS Diversity and Equity survey. Of those, 943 students and 724 employees submitted a response for an overall response rate of 17%.
Equity by Design
Equity by Design is the central and most critical pillar of Equity 2030. It is a methodology to understand and address disparities and move towards meaningful institution-wide multifaceted equity-minded practices.
