Graduation and Completion of Your Program

After you graduate or complete your program, you have a 60-day grace period. During this period you may choose to do one the following:

• Remain in the U.S. and depart no more than 60 days after your program end date
• Apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT)
• Request a change of level I-20 if you will begin a new degree program at Minnesota State Mankato
• Transfer your SEVIS record to a new school

If you're unable to complete your program requirements by the program end date on your I-20, you must request a Program Extension before your I-20 expires.
