Going Greek is not for everyone. It's important that potential new members know why they want to go Greek before they seek membership in any Greek organizations. But for potential new members who share our community commitment to self-improvement through diligent striving combined with one of the most powerful international support structures, going Greek is a natural and obvious choice.
Many of our members describe the bond they share with their brothers and sisters as something more than friendship. The best explanation we can come up with is the bond you most likely shared with your high school sports teammates. But this brotherhood or sisterhood is not just for athletes either, as members of the Greek community we seek to be the best versions of ourselves. We are scholars, who work together to promote high academic achievement. We are leaders, who empower ourselves and others to take action in campus activities and the Mankato community. We are stewards, who give back to those in their time of need, to leave the world a better place. And we are brothers and sisters, who support each other not only in Mankato during our college days, but nationwide for a lifetime.
If you're still not convinced, check out one of the Greek 101 information sessions to meet members of the Greek community for yourself. Greek 101 dates are listed on the Prospective members homepage or check out our frequently asked questions page.
