Elizabeth, You asked how my experience with neurogenic stuttering has influenced my teaching and supervision. It has reinforced my teaching and supervision practices. I had to practice what I preached -- on myself -- and I managed to remain an effective communicator. I have been an atypical pws. Not many who become people who stutter have my background from the start. I did not experience the same feelings and attitudes toward speaking and stuttering that others may experience. BH BH BH
