Thanks for taking interest in our topic. We sure have areas of bilingual research that have not covered extensively Bilingual Language Development and Onset of Stuttering. Some children are exposed to more than one language at the critical period of language development which causes to deal with more language demands. There is no evidence that exposing a child to two languages can cause stuttering. We must first have to determine if the child is stuttering or struggling with acquisition of two languages. There are helpful suggestions to follow in the brochure "Suttering and the Bilingual Child". You can access this information through the Stuttering Foundation of America.
