That is an amazing idea I will use for our children camps as well. At one of our European Youth Camps the group assignment was to produce a short movie (with the help of the Belgium film maker Eric Lamens, the maker of To Speak) about stuttering. No rules, no guidelines. To our amazement they made two films that litterally brought us to tears, of laughter, but also with pride. The first group made a video on how NOT to treat PWS. With examples like someone getting a doctor when a PWS asks for direction, and a book salesman earning a lot of money, as people want to get rid of him. The second group made a movie on... selling stuttering! From electronic devices on how to START stuttering, to a stuttering school, where the fluent person who didn't manage to stutter was kicked off school and the other girl stuttered so badly, she became an A student! We were ashtonished they actually mocked stuttering! Thanks for making children talk! If we turn stuttering into something "normal" and understandable, something that's ok to talk about, this world will become a better place to stutter in. Hugs, Anita
