I enjoyed reading your article Dr. Mallard, it was very interesting to hear about a problem solving approach to stuttering. I was wondering how you can modify this problem solving approach to work with a child that is not completely aware of their stuttering. Perhaps the parents have come to you to “make the stuttering stop.” By the time children are in school I would guess most are aware of moments of stuttering, and the problem solving approach would be appropriate, but not all children show this awareness.
