I can relate to many of your experiences since I also stutter. I was also covert growing up because stuttering was never really talked about in school or home. I'm also a SLP graduate student who is in the process of trying to become more accepting of my own stutter. Have you ever tried to introduce yourself as a person who stutters? I have found that this helps me a lot. I also wanted to thank you for writing about your experiences with NSA. I have never been involved with NSA, but I would love to join a local chapter soon. Thanks again for sharing your story!
