Our school district (rural) looked into teletherapy as another way to help serve students with speech and language impairments. We found that teletherapy worked great for children at the elementary level. Even more surprising, we found that our students that were 'squirrely' in the classroom did well with teletherapy. They were focused, needed little redirection and loved going to speech. The materials used were age appropriate, motivating and interactive. Therapy sessions were held more frequently per week but shorter in length to accomodate their shorter attention span.
