What a powerful message! Anita, I am a graduate student on my way to be an SLP and I find your post amazing. Your journey sounds long but just from reading some of your experience, I am empowered. What I enjoyed most was reading about how the turn from your inner turmoil to external outreach was almost instantaneous. You not only made a difference for yourself but at a level that is affecting someone all the way to Wisconsin. Is it possible to be proud of someone I have never met? Your words were powerful.
