Hello! I am a grad student at ASU and I am currently in a fluency disorders course with Dr. Klein. I really enjoyed your story. I agree with the others that you are very funny! You said that you never thought stuttering was funny unless its joked about by those who stutter, and rightfully so! I was wondering how that feeling of “us” and “them” relates to working with therapists who didn’t stutter. Did you ever feel like saying “here you are telling me all these things to do or not do and you have no idea how I feel, or what I'm going through?” I can imagine at least someone has thought or possibly said that to their therapist. What would be your advice to a SLP who doesn’t stutter in how they can be most helpful and understanding of PWS?
