Stephanie....Thanks for reading the article. Your question is terrific. With CWS and TWS, it has been my professional experience that their main desire is to be listened to, not speech evaluated. "Therapuetic Listening" will definitely decrease communication apprehension, and I know when CWS/TWS decrease their fear of stuttering or their fear of talking, stutter behaviors decrease and natural speech increases. I am interested in hearing how my friend, Joe D., responds to your excellent question. Thanks for participating in the conference.
